We’re proud to endorse Mr. Gibboney for County Commissioner! He started his professional career with LAPD where he worked patrol and learned a beat before he started to fly helicopters for the department. He continued to progress his aviation career and became a private pilot for a studio.
Mr. Gibboney sees a need for responsible growth in our County and would like to invest in the people of Kootenai County which in return offers a better quality of life for everyone. He’s witnessed identity politics ruin once great communities and vows to not let that happen here in Kootenai County. Which is why we proudly support Elect Dale Gibboney!

Like me, Dale took his oath to serve and protect the citizens of Los Angeles. After 5 years of various assignments, I was transferred to the Air Support Division as a line pilot. That is where I met Dale. He was an accomplished aviator, having his pilot’s license before getting his driver’s license. He soon became our Chief Pilot. His management and interpersonal skills were very apparent, as he oversaw all the flight instructors’ training of new pilots and conducted currency check rides. My life-long friend has a plethora of character traits. Among them honesty, respect, courtesy, self-management skills, patience and empathy. Dale is wholeheartedly dedicated to ethically and fiscally serve the good citizens of Kootenai County.

I have been a Kootenai County resident for 33 years and have known and worked with Dale for 48 years. In that time Dale has consistently demonstrated the qualities of leadership that will serve the County well. Dale comes to this job prepared, listens to all sides of an issue, and will come to a decision guided by conservative principles. Most importantly, Dale is not seeking a career in politics, his only interest is in guiding the direction of the county for the benefit of the residents, I know this to be true. I am supporting Dale Gibboney for County Commissioner. I have had the pleasure of being Dale’s neighbor and friend over the past several years and can’t think of a better candidate for this position. His life experiences and love for Kootenai County is what this county needs in a commissioner.
Dale is one of the most genuine, nice, and hardworking people I know. He has fought for controlling growth in our county by going door to door and letting people know what is going on at city council meetings and has spoken at meetings about needing responsible growth. Dale has been researching ways and coming up with plans on how to make growth pay for growth and not have that burden be placed on current residents. Managing money and large budgets isn’t new to Dale. He has been responsible for planning and implementing budgets at multiple jobs. He cares for the safety and wellbeing of our community and as a former person in law enforcement he definitely backs the blue.
As a resident of Kootenai County, I know how important it is to elect individuals who are dedicated to keeping our community conservative and safe. Dale Gibboney is the perfect candidate for Commissioner in District 1. He moved from a town that was destroyed because of irresponsible growth and liberal ideologies and is stepping up for Kootenai County to make sure that the same thing doesn’t happen here.
Dale is a father, grandfather, husband, and a great friend. He wants what is right for this community and will work hard to make sure that happens. I strongly urge you to vote for Dale Gibboney as County Commissioner District 1. I am confident in Dale’s knowledge, skills, and determination to be the County Commissioner Kootenai needs.

I am endorsing Dale Gibboney as Commissioner for Kootenai County - District 1. I have known Dale for well over 35 years. I first met him when he volunteered as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of La Verne where I was a full time police officer for 39 years, ultimately retiring as the Chief of Police. Dale lived and raised his family in La Verne until he moved to Idaho. I had the pleasure of working alongside Dale while patrolling the streets. I found him to be a man of conviction who does what he says he is going to do. Dale has had an impressive career and life. At each of the positions he has held he has risen to the top through his own hard work.
Throughout our friendship I found Dale to be a no nonsense individual who is a visionary. He is always thinking of how to improve things around him, including the quality of life for the community.
Dale’s conservative views are what this Country needs. I have no doubt that if elected as Commissioner, Dale will bring a wealth of knowledge and forward looking vision to the position and he will strive to improve the quality of life for the residents of Kootenai County.
